This is John Makey. Between six years at the University of Texas in Austin and Trinity University, John spent the majority of his time taking classes that peaked his interest. Yes, his major was philosophy and religion, but John prefers seeking information that will fuel your endeavors rather than a degree. A little ways back in 1978, John started a small vegetarian restaurant called SafeWay. After just two years after opening, SaferWay Merged with Clarksville Natural Grocery and began a new business which was titled, and is still known today, as Whole Foods Market.
I suppose that it will come as no surprise to know that John Makey never graduated from college. It is only common nature for me to applause those who break the norms. But I’m not in interested him solely because he left school, I appreciate him for his learning style. Yes John Makey went to school and was able to make the best out of it in a way that the system had not originally perceived. He didn’t have to re-invent the wheel, he just found that using it differently would benefit him better. The true knowledge here is knowing how to use the resources that you have in your proximity.
Remember that dropping out of college is never the goal. The goal is to obtain education.
